The evolution of an Italian tradition
Brunetti Oro continues to thrive with a brand-new online store delivering all over Melbourne and the construction of Brunetti Oro Brunswick.
Brunetti evolves and the Brunetti Oro chapter begins. Led by owner Yuri Angele, Brunetti Oro seeks to bring in an innovative new era while staying true to its authentic Italian roots.
Giorgio Angele retires, leaving the business to two of his sons Fabio and Yuri.
The City Square location closes to make way for the construction of the Melbourne Metro Tunnel and Brunetti moves to a new 300 seat restaurant on Flinders Lane, Melbourne CBD.
After 20 years of carefully considered expansion, Brunetti outgrows the location on Faraday Street and moves around the corner back to its original home on Lygon Street.
The same franchisee then opens Brunetti at Tanglin Mall, Singapore.
Brunetti are approached by an eager investor and a franchised Brunetti store is opened in Dubai Mall, UAE.
Brunetti opens another store on level 3 of Myer Melbourne, Bourke Street, Melbourne CBD.
The Angele’s open a second location, Brunetti at City Square, Melbourne CBD.
The Angele’s purchase a café on Faraday Street, Carlton called Brunetti.
Mr Angele opens his first cake shop on Belford Road, Kew East.
Mr Angele accompanies the Italian Olympic team to Melbourne as the teams’ pastry chef for the Olympics. Following the Olympics Mr Angele took up Australia’s invitation to stay in the country, starting his new life.
At age 10, Giorgio Angele begins training as a pastry chef in Rome, Italy.
